Gavrus rests within the quiet bocage of Normandy, where small fields and thick hedges define a landscape of soft, grey light. Nearby, the river l'Odon winds through the countryside, while the woodland of the Bois des Amis de Jean Bosco offers a shaded retreat. Not far from the summit of le Mont, the weight of 1944 is carried quietly in the surrounding soil. A short journey reveals the Château de Bougy, standing with grace, and the Musée Archéologique de Vieux la Romaine, which preserves the deep antiquity of the region. Nearby, the ruins of the Château de Fontaine-Étoupefour evoke a sense of time passing slowly through apple orchards and wet, verdant pastures.
Gavrus s'inscrit au cœur du bocage normand, où les champs enclos et les haies épaisses façonnent un paysage baigné d'une lumière douce et argentée. À proximité, l'Odon serpente paisiblement tandis que le Bois des Amis de Jean Bosco offre un refuge ombragé. Non loin du sommet du Mont, le poids de 1944 imprègne encore discrètement la mémoire des lieux.
