How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Leffard

Leffard sits nestled within the quiet bocage of Normandy, where small fields and thick hedges define the horizon. The Ruisseau de Leffard winds through this landscape, a modest vein of water flowing toward the distant l'Orne. Nearby, the Bois de Tupot offers a dense, sheltering presence, while the wider countryside reveals the weight of history carried quietly. Visitors can explore the ancient Pierre de la Hauberie, a silent witness to the past, or seek the architectural grace of the Abbaye Cistercienne. Further afield, the Château de Tréprel stands as a testament to the enduring character of this soft, grey-lit terrain.
