How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Tourgéville

Tourgéville sits within the quiet, unfolding bocage of Normandy, where small fields and thick hedges define a landscape of apple orchards and wet pastures. The Ruisseau du Vaunoy meanders through this soft, grey light, near the rising slopes of Mont Canisy and the sheltered Bois des Saules. Not far from the English Channel, the village captures the essence of a countryside that feels both sheltered and profound. Visitors can explore the evocative ruins of the Ancien prieuré, wander the lush grounds of the Domaine des Enclos, or admire the historical elegance of the Manoir de Glatigny, all standing as quiet witnesses to the region's enduring character.
