How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Chamblac

Chamblac sits quietly within the Pays d'Ouche, a landscape defined by the persistent bocage of small fields and thick hedges. Nearby, the Bois de Broglie offers a dense canopy, while the waters of the Fossé 04 de la Commune de Landepereuse trace the edges of the terrain. The local architecture speaks of flint and earth, echoing the soft grey light of the region. A wanderer might discover the Château de Bonneville, a silent witness to the passage of time, or visit the Menhir de la Longue Pierre, an ancient stone tethered to the history of the soil. The Château du Blanc-Buisson stands nearby as a testament to the enduring character of this quiet Normandy corner.
