How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Saint-Luc

Saint-Luc lies nestled within the quiet Eure, a landscape defined by the dense embrace of the Bois Siret and the soft, grey light that has long captivated painters. The village rests among a shifting patchwork of small fields and thick hedges, where the air smells faintly of apple orchards and damp earth. Nearby, the weight of history lingers, marked by the ancient archaeological remnants of Gisacum and the elegant stonework of the Château du Buisson-de-May. Further afield, the landscape rises toward le Moulin à Vent, offering a vantage point over this hushed, fertile corner of Normandie.
