How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Le Bosc-Renoult

Le Bosc-Renoult rests within the quiet bocage of the Orne, a landscape defined by thick, ancient hedges and fields where cattle graze in wet, emerald pastures. Nearby, the Ruisseau des Prés Garreaux traces its path through the land, while the dense canopy of the Bois Renard shelters the rolling terrain. The atmosphere is marked by a soft, grey light and the gentle presence of apple orchards. In the wider countryside, visitors find the historic Char Tigre I, the elegant Manoir de la Cocardière, and the Château de Vimer, each standing as a silent witness to the layered, sometimes heavy, history of 1944.
