How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Beaurepaire

Beaurepaire rests within a landscape of rolling bocage, where small fields are stitched together by thick hedges and ancient apple orchards. The air here holds a soft, grey light, often muted by sea fog rolling in from the nearby English Channel. To the west, the chalk cliffs of the Cap d'Antifer dominate the horizon, standing above pebble beaches. Visitors can explore the nearby Valleuse de Bruneval, a nature reserve carved into the coast, or stand before the Phare d'Antifer, which watches over the waves. Further inland, the silent stones of the Camp d'Azelonde ou d'Alezonde offer a quiet reflection on the deep past of this region.
