How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Vittefleur

Vittefleur lies nestled in the quietude of the Normandy landscape, where the river la Durdent carves its path through a terrain of lush bocage and wet pastures. The village is anchored by the presence of the nearby Bois Bascourt, while the soft grey light of the region filters across fields and apple orchards. A short distance away, the chalk cliffs of the Côte d'Albâtre meet the English Channel. Visitors can explore the elegant Château de Cany, wander the serene surroundings of the Lac de Caniel, or contemplate the historic stone walls of the Château de Janville, all resting within this contemplative, mist-touched countryside.
