Treignac rests within the granite heart of the Plateau de Millevaches, a landscape defined by the Parc Naturel Régional de Millevaches en Limousin. Treignac s'inscrit au cœur granitique du Plateau de Millevaches, au sein du Parc Naturel Régional de Millevaches en Limousin. Le paysage est façonné par des bois de châtaigniers et des tourbières, où l'atmosphère s'imprègne de l'humidité des sous-bois et de la présence constante de l'eau. La Vézère serpente dans la vallée, guidant le regard vers les eaux calmes du Lac des Bariousses.
