How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Anlhiac

Anlhiac rests within the quiet folds of the Dordogne, a landscape shaped by the gentle persistence of l'Auvézère. Here, the earth offers the scent of walnut and the shade of Bos Redon, a woodland that softens the horizon. Within the Bassin de la Dordogne biosphere, life follows the rhythm of the seasons. Nearby, the majestic Château d'Hautefort commands the view, while the Grotte de Tourtoirac reveals delicate mineral secrets beneath the soil. Further afield, the ancient stones of the Abbaye de Dalon stand as silent witnesses to the passage of time, grounded in this damp, verdant countryside.
