How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Segonzac

Segonzac rests within the verdant embrace of the Bassin de la Dordogne, a landscape defined by the quiet passage of la Peychay and the dense, whispering stands of the Bois de Puythier. Here, the air holds a persistent, damp warmth, and the rhythm of the land is set by the slow meander of la Dronne nearby. A visitor might explore the storied stone of the Château de Segonzac, or wander toward the mysterious, ancient bulk of the Dolmen de Peyrebrune. Amidst the rolling, shaded terrain, the elegant silhouette of the Château de la Martinie stands as a silent sentinel over this tranquil, inland corner of Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
