How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Flaujagues

Flaujagues sits nestled within the Bassin de la Dordogne, a landscape defined by the quiet meanderings of the Ruisseau de Turon-Gabardon. Surrounded by the dense, shadowed canopy of the Bois de Rigaud and the shimmering waters of the Lac de la Cadie, the commune feels rooted in the damp warmth of the valley. Nearby, the legacy of the region unfolds through the Villa Gallo-Romaine de Montcaret, where ancient stone whispers of a distant past. Visitors might also wander toward the Château de Montaigne or the Château de Pitray, both standing as quiet sentinels over the rolling hills and orderly rows of vines that define this fertile, inland territory.
