The horizon is defined by the modest rise of the Puy de Cadant, while the nearby Vayres river traces a quiet path through the terrain. La Sauve s'inscrit au cœur des paysages paisibles de la Nouvelle-Aquitaine, au sein même de la réserve de biosphère du Bassin de la Dordogne.
