How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Saint-Léon

Saint-Léon sits nestled within the quiet textures of the Lot-et-Garonne, where the gentle waters of the Gaubège drift through a landscape defined by tall skies and the silent, sandy tracks of nearby pine forests. Beyond the village, the horizon holds the distant silhouette of the Pech de Berre, while the fertile soils support rows of vines. Visitors may explore the rugged stone of the Château de Montgaillard, the elegant architecture of the Château d'Ambrus, or the ancient whispers of the Allée Funéraire de Cabeil. This is a region of damp warmth, where the Garonne weaves its path through the wider countryside.
