How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Bonnut

Bonnut rests quietly within the Plaine de l'Adour, a landscape where the Ruisseau de l'Ourseau traces a path through rolling fields and the dense shade of le Bois d'Arrioux. This inland commune captures the essence of the region, where sudden rain leaves the earth gleaming and the horizon is defined by the distant silhouette of le Camp Romain. Nearby, the Grotte du Pape offers a glimpse into ancient mysteries, while the Château d'Amou and the Château de Sourdis stand as weathered sentinels over the countryside. It is a place of quiet observation, far from the clamor of the coast, defined by the gentle rhythm of the land.
