How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Cadillon

Cadillon rests within the quiet landscape of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, where the rhythm of the land is set by the nearby waters of le Lées and the reflective surface of the Lac de Cadillon. From the slopes of Mont Durou, the horizon stretches over rolling fields and pockets of woodland, a territory defined by sudden shifts in weather that leave the earth gleaming. Beyond the village, a visitor might explore the storied stone of the Domaine de Saint-Girons, discover the architectural legacy of the Collégiale Saint-Barthélemy, or wander the ancient remnants of the Castrum Bigorra, each offering a distinct perspective on the region's enduring character.
