📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Larrau sits tucked away in the green folds of the landscape, where the Erroimendiko Erreka flows through the quiet valleys and the slopes of the Bois d'Achigare turn deep shades of emerald. High above, the silhouette of the Pic d'Orhy dominates the horizon, watching over a land defined by red-and-white timbered farmhouses and wandering sheep. Beyond the village, the Gorges de Holtzarté offer a dramatic, winding path through the limestone, while the Gorges de Kakouetta remain a deep, humid sanctuary of stone and water. Further into the hills, the Grotte d'Arpea reveals ancient, mysterious shadows carved into the earth.
Larrau se niche au cœur des reliefs verdoyants, là où l'Erroimendiko Erreka serpente entre les vallons et où les frondaisons du Bois d'Achigare s'étirent en nuances sombres.
