How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Vignes

Vignes rests in the gentle, undulating countryside of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, a landscape where rain leaves the fields shining and the air holds the scent of damp earth. The Bras du Luy de France winds nearby, guiding the eye toward the horizon where the summit of lou Plan rises. Within the commune, the quiet waters of the Lac d'Arzacq offer a reflective stillness. A short journey away, the medieval Château de Morlanne stands as a testament to the region's stone-wrought past, while the nearby Collégiale Saint-Barthélemy invites a moment of hushed contemplation amidst the green, rolling hills that define this corner of Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
