How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Lunac

Lunac sits tucked within the rolling hills of Aveyron, where golden wheat and sunflowers sway under a dry, persistent heat. The landscape is marked by the presence of la Serène de Vabre, while the deeper waters of l'Aveyron carve through the wider countryside. Nearby, the dramatic Gorges de l'Aveyron offer a stark contrast to the gentle slopes of la Brousse. Travelers can explore the storied ruins of the Château de Najac perched above the valley, admire the elegant stonework of the Pont Saint-Blaise, or venture toward the Parc Naturel Régional des Causses du Quercy, where limestone plateaus and the calls of cicadas define the horizon.
