How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Bouquet

Bouquet sits as a quiet commune within the rugged expanse of le Grand Plat, where the scent of box and thyme lingers after the rain. The landscape is defined by the mistral-scoured ridges near the Col du Bourricot and the shaded depths of le Clergue woodland, while the Valat de Séguissous flows close by. Nearby, the dramatic ruins of the Château d'Allègre loom over the terrain, offering a stark reminder of the past. Visitors may also explore the ancient Menhir de la Lèque or admire the enduring silhouette of the Château de Lussan, set against the vast backdrop of the nearby Cévennes biosphere reserve.
