OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.
Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.
📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.
Mode d'emploi.

Mandagout rests within the folds of the Cévennes, a landscape defined by schist, terraced hillsides, and the quiet scent of box and thyme after rain. The river l'Arboux carves its path through this rugged terrain, while the nearby woodland of la Gastière offers shade under a canopy of chestnut trees. Rising above the Causse de Blandas, the air carries the memory of ancient drailles. Nearby, le Château de Mandagout stands as a silent witness to the past, while the summit of Puech d'Auriol watches over the valley. Further out, the majestic Château de Montdardier anchors the horizon in this enduring, mistral-scoured land.
