How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Saint-Clément

Saint-Clément rests within the quiet folds of the Montagne Saint-Jean, a landscape defined by the scent of box and thyme after rain. Nearby, the Ruisseau de Quiquilhan traces a path through the earth, while the Col de la Carrierasse offers a passage toward the Bois de Paris. Beyond the village, the horizon is shaped by the rugged character of the land. Explorers may uncover the layers of the past at the Village préhistorique de Fontbouisse, wander near the imposing ruins of the Château de Sommières, or admire the intricate stonework of the Beffroi de Sommières, each remnant whispering of the region's enduring, silent presence.
