How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Sénarens

Sénarens lies nestled within the rolling hills of the Petites Pyrénées, a landscape where fields of wheat bask in the dry heat under the song of cicadas. The Ruisseau du Bataillet winds quietly through the terrain, bordered by the dappled shade of the Bois des Béniches. In the wider countryside, the horizon is marked by the distant Tupe de Lozes. Visitors might explore the ancient Grotte de Rodes, admire the storied walls of the Château de Palaminy, or discover the remnants of the Thermes gallo-romains, each offering a silent, tangible connection to the deep, textured earth of this Occitan region.
