How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Terrebasse

Terrebasse sits nestled within the rolling hills of the Petites Pyrénées, a landscape defined by the quiet passage of la Louge. Here, fields of wheat stretch toward the horizon under the dry, midday hum of cicadas, while the distant Piton de Montpezat anchors the skyline. A visitor might explore the evocative ruins of Villarens, wander the grounds near the local Château Loustaou, or descend into the cool, shadowed depths of the Grottes de Rodes. It is a place of sun-drenched earth and brick, where the pace of life follows the slow, rhythmic turning of the seasons in the wider countryside.
