How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Vallègue

Vallègue rests amidst the rolling hills of the Haute-Garonne, where the landscape is painted in shades of wheat and sunflower under the dry heat of the afternoon. Nearby, the Ruisseau Barthegaline traces a quiet path through the countryside, while the distant, shimmering surface of the Lac de la Ganguise catches the light. Visitors may wander toward the Seuil de Naurouze to witness the historic Partage des Eaux, contemplate the stoic Obélisque de Riquet, or explore the ancient stones of the Fouilles archéologiques de Peyre Clouque. It is a land of quiet ridges and the persistent, rhythmic song of cicadas.
