Bordères-Louron sits within a landscape of stone and slate, where the massive wall of the Pyrenees rises to the south. The commune is cradled by the proximity of the Neste du Louron and the quiet presence of the Bois de la Pale. Above, the summit of Montious keeps watch over a terrain defined by the nearby Réserve Naturelle Régionale du Massif du Montious.
