How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Brissac

Brissac sits gracefully within the rugged embrace of the Taurac, where the air carries the sharp, clean scent of box and thyme after rain. The landscape is defined by the proximity of l'Hérault, whose waters carve through this quiet corner of Occitanie. Nearby, the Bois de Haut offers a shadowed retreat, while the horizon is anchored by the distant silhouette of the Cirque de la Séranne. A traveler might linger at the Pont de Saint-Étienne-d'Issensac, an ancient stone witness to the river's path, or venture into the cool, silent depths of the Grotte des Demoiselles. Further afield, the Château de Laroque stands as a stoic reminder of the region's layered past.
