How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Saint-Sériès

Saint-Sériès sits within a landscape shaped by the shifting light of the south, where the air often carries the sharp, clean scent of box and thyme after rain. Nearby, the river le Vidourle carves its path toward the Mediterranean, while the horizon is marked by the heights of the Montagne d'Hortus and the rugged profile of the Puech de Beauregard. Between the dense greenery of the Bois de la Garenne and the limestone textures of the land, visitors find the historic Moulin de Carrière resting close by. A short journey leads to the ruins of the Mas de Christin or the ancient stones of the Musée du site d'Ambrussum.
