Gréalou s'étire sur les plateaux arides du Causse de Limogne, où la pierre blanche affleure sous la chaleur sèche d'un midi vibrant au chant des cigales. Nichée au cœur du Parc Naturel Régional des Causses du Quercy, la commune est bordée par les bois des Garennes et des terres où le calcaire domine le paysage. À proximité, le Dolmen de Pech-Laglaire 2, classé par l'UNESCO, témoigne de la mémoire ancienne du site.
