How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Sérignac

Sérignac rests amidst the rolling hills of the Lot, a landscape defined by the golden shimmer of wheat and the persistent song of cicadas under the dry midday sun. Nearby, the quiet waters of la Riviérette meander through the countryside, while the woodland of les Garoustes offers a refuge of shade. A short distance away, the Château de Ferrières stands as a silent witness to the passage of time. Further afield, the ancient Ruine de la ville d'Orgueil and the imposing Castrum de Pestillac emerge from the earth, reminders of a rugged past etched into the limestone soil.
