OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.
Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.
📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.
Mode d'emploi.

Le Rozier sits where the currents of le Tarn carve through the ancient landscape, cradled by the limestone heights of the Causse Noir. The air carries the scent of box and thyme after the rain, drifting from the Forêt Domaniale du Causse Noir toward the shadow of the Pic de Montaigu. Nearby, the Gorges du Tarn define the horizon, while the Parc National des Cévennes protects the rugged terrain. Visitors can explore the stone remnants of the Ermitage Saint-Pierre, wander the site of the Prieuré de Saint-Jean-de-Balmes, or descend into the depths of Aven Armand (entrée artificielle) to witness the earth's quiet, subterranean architecture.
