How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Asques

Asques sits quietly among the rolling hills of the Tarn-et-Garonne, where wheat fields shimmer under the dry heat and the rhythmic hum of cicadas. The Ruisseau d’Asques meanders close by, while the nearby Bois de Gayssanès provides a lush, shaded respite in the countryside. Beyond the village, the landscape unfolds toward the Barrage de Gensac-Lavit and the distant silhouette of the Colline de Barillé. A visitor might explore the storied stone of the Château de la Motte, discover the river traditions at the Musée de la Batellerie, or admire the sturdy architecture of the Halle aux Grains, all nestled within this sun-drenched, terracotta-hued corner of Occitanie.
