How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Belleserre

Belleserre rests within a landscape of rolling hills and wheat fields, defined by the nearby flow of le Rieutort and the quiet presence of Lac d'en Brunet. The horizon is drawn by the distant silhouette of Montaut and the rugged character of the Désert de Saint-Ferréol, while the Parc Naturel Régional du Haut-Languedoc offers a vast, untamed threshold. Nearby, the Musée Abbaye-École de Sorèze et Dom Robert preserves intricate tapestries of light and shadow, the Halle de Revel shelters the memory of bustling markets, and the ancient ruins of the Clocher Saint-Martin stand as a stoic witness to the passage of time.
