How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Péchaudier

Péchaudier rests quietly within the rolling hills of the Tarn, a landscape defined by golden wheat fields and the persistent hum of cicadas in the dry noon heat. Nearby, the Ruisseau de Pudre traces its path through the countryside, while the Grand Bois offers a dense canopy of woodland just a short walk away. Beyond the immediate terrain, the horizon is shaped by the silhouette of the summit Belbèze. Visitors may explore the elegant ruins of the Clocher Saint-Martin, admire the historical architecture of the Halle de Revel, or wander the grounds of the Musée Abbaye-École de Sorèze et Dom Robert.
