OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.
Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.
📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.
Mode d'emploi.

Vouvant rests within the verdant embrace of the Forêt Domaniale de Mervent-Vouvant, where the quiet flow of le Petit Fougerais carves through the rolling Vendée landscape. Beyond the dense woodland, the shimmering expanse of the Barrage de Pierre Brune mirrors the shifting sky, anchoring the village in a world of water and leaf. Nearby, the ancient stones of the Dolmen dit Pierre-Levée speak of deep, silent time, while the elegant Château de la Citardière stands as a weathered sentinel over the fields. This is a region defined by the soft, enduring patience of the bocage, offering a sanctuary far from the restless coast.
