How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Montsalier

Montsalier rests upon the sweeping expanse of the Plateau d’Albion, a place where the thin, bright air carries the quiet weight of the Luberon Lure biosphere reserve. Nearby, the Ravin de Terrassier carves its path through the earth, while the dense canopy of la Brûlade offers a sanctuary of shadow and scent. Visitors might explore the subterranean mysteries of the Aven du Nid d’Aigle, seek the refined stonework of La Rotonde des Agoult-Simiane, or contemplate the distant, rugged silhouette of le Buisseron. It is a landscape defined by the slow movement of light across the valley floor, where the silence of the upland fields speaks to the enduring stillness of the region.

À propos de Montsalier
