Saint-Vallier-de-Thiey s'inscrit au cœur du Parc Naturel Régional des Préalpes d'Azur, dominé par la silhouette massive de la Montagne de Thiey. Le paysage est ici façonné par les reliefs alpins qui s'étirent vers la Méditerranée, ponctués par la Colle du Maçon et le passage du Col du Ferrier.
