How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Beaurecueil

Beaurecueil sits in a landscape of limestone and garrigue, where the mistral scours the sky clean above the Plateau de Maurély. The le Bayeux river traces its course through this terrain, while the nearby Forêt Départementale de Roques Hautes and the Réserve Naturelle Nationale de Sainte-Victoire define the horizon. Visitors may explore the rugged paths toward the Prieuré de Sainte-Victoire, standing silent in the hard light. Nearby, the ancient stones of the Dolmen de Maurély anchor the landscape, while the ruins of the Aqueduc de Saint-Antonin offer a quiet testament to the enduring presence of Roman stone still in use across these hills.
