How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Saint-Trinit

Saint-Trinit rests upon the Plateau d'Albion, a high, limestone realm where the scent of wild garrigue sharpens the air. The landscape is defined by the intimate passage of the Ravin de la Greppe and the nearby presence of the Bois Sec, all sheltered within the UNESCO biosphere reserve of the Mont Ventoux. In the wider countryside, the earth yields to the deep mysteries of the Aven du Rousti and the Aven du Caladaïre, while the distant, imposing Château d'Aulan anchors the horizon. Here, the mistral scours the sky to a brilliant clarity, casting short, sharp shadows across a land defined by hard light and quiet stone.
