Höll ist ein stilles Dorf, eingebettet in die sanften Hügel des Oberpfälzer Waldes, wo die Schwarzach ihre gemächlichen Bahnen durch die Wiesen zieht und das nahe Spielberger Holz den Horizont säumt. Die umgebende Naturpark Oberer Bayerischer Wald prägt die Landschaft, in deren Ferne sich der Kleeberg erhebt. Wer die Stille verlässt, findet in der Umgebung die verfallenen Mauern der Burgruine Treffelstein, die als stumme Zeugen vergangener Tage in der Landschaft ruhen.
