Die Gemeinde Floß schmiegt sich in die sanfte Hügellandschaft des Oberpfälzer Waldes, durchzogen vom gleichnamigen Bach Floß. Eingebettet in den Naturpark Nördlicher Oberpfälzer Wald, prägen das nahegelegene Waldgebiet Haarholz und der markante Gipfel des Haselstein das Bild der Umgebung.
