Über Steimel

Steimel liegt eingebettet in die sanften Höhen des Westerwaldes, in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Forst Wied. Während der Dreisbach die Landschaft durchzieht, prägt der fernere Flusslauf der Wied die Charakteristik dieser Region innerhalb des Naturparks Rhein-Westerwald. Besucher finden nahebei die Ruinen der Burg Reichenstein, deren steinerne Zeugnisse von der Zeit künden, sowie die Ölmühle, die noch heute von vergangenen handwerklichen Mühen erzählt.
