Dörscheid ruht sanft auf den Anhöhen über dem Rhein, eingebettet in die stille, waldreiche Umgebung des Lennig. Die Landschaft wird geprägt durch das Naturschutzgebiet Rheinhänge von Burg Gutenfels bis zur Loreley, das sich entlang der steilen Hänge zum Fluss hinunterzieht.
