Die Region wird vom Wald Osterholz gerahmt, während am Horizont der Große Kalmberg aufragt und der Landschaft eine stille Tiefe verleiht. In der Nähe lädt die Talsperre Hopfgarten zum Innehalten ein, während das Naturschutzgebiet Diebskammer die Ursprünglichkeit der Umgebung bewahrt.
