Carmine is a small village within the comune of Pontinvrea, settled among the hills where the air holds the crispness of the nearby Apennine ridge. The R. Ronchetti flows through the land, carving a path near the Bric I Ronchetti summit. This area is defined by the Area Protetta di Interesse Provinciale Giovo Ligure, which preserves the local terrain. Among the scattered stone remnants of the past, the ruins of Forte Bruciato overlook the settlement, while the nearby Forte Scarato and Forte Tagliata del Giovo remain as silent markers of a strategic landscape once guarded against the movements of the world.

Ronchetti scorre nel territorio, tracciando il suo corso presso il Bric I Ronchetti. Il paesaggio è tutelato dall'Area Protetta di Interesse Provinciale Giovo Ligure, che protegge la natura del luogo. Tra le tracce del passato, i ruderi del Forte Bruciato dominano l'abitato, mentre nelle vicinanze il Forte Scarato e il Forte Tagliata del Giovo si offrono come presenze silenziose, custodi di una terra segnata da antiche necessità difensive e dal ritmo lento dei boschi.
