Cavelli occupies a quiet rise within the Parco Naturale Regionale di Piana Crixia, where the air holds the cooling influence of the nearby F. Bormida di Spigno. Bric Corgnenta rises directly from the land, anchoring the hamlet to the rugged contours of the Ligurian hills. The landscape remains defined by the presence of Monte Bergone, which commands the skyline.
