Reading the map like an IGM sheet. Canola is a small village within the comune of Comano, situated in the rugged mountain landscape of Tuscany. The terrain here is shaped by the nearby Costa del Matalone and the rising slopes of Monte Caverdana, with the Costa di Fumagna defining the immediate horizon. Nearby, the ruins of the Castello di Comano overlook the valley, while the waters of the Lago di Comano reflect the shifting mountain light. Further afield, the Passo del Lagastrello marks the ancient routes crossing these peaks. The air carries a sharp, clean quality, and the surrounding slopes remain quiet under the shadow of the distant Monte Cusna.
