Astwick remains a quiet collection of dwellings defined by the flat, open expanses of the Bedfordshire landscape. It lies 1.1 miles north-north-east of Stotfold (from Stotfold: bearing 14°T, OS grid TL 218 385). Low winter light often stretches across the fields, catching the edges of the Astwick Bury Moat and Associated Moated Mound just a short distance to the south-west. The water within the nearby Mill Stream reflects a pale sky, adding a sense of depth to the otherwise level horizon.
