It lies 3.6 miles south-west of Wilmslow (from Wilmslow: bearing 224°T, OS grid SJ 806 768), and is situated west of Great Warford village. Sunlight often catches the moisture held in the low-lying fields here, casting a silver sheen over the heavy, clay-rich soil that has long dictated the pace of agricultural life. To the south-east, the topography dips into the verdant folds of Peckmill Bottoms, where the air grows noticeably cooler and carries the scent of damp moss. Little Warford remains defined by these modest shifts in elevation, a landscape shaped more by the patient runoff of rainwater than by grand human design. A short distance away, the quiet waters of Pedley Brook trace a meandering path through the periphery, offering a subtle border to the neighbouring pastures.
