It lies 5.0 miles west-north-west of Bakewell (from Bakewell: bearing 289°T, OS grid SK 140 710), and is situated north-north-east of Flagg village. Taddington holds its place within the Peak District National Park, looking out over a landscape where the earth is thin and the horizon wide.
